Arresting development
Tech. Sgt. Emmanuel Ramirez guides a forklift to place an arresting barrier system on the runway March 12 at Balad Air Base, Iraq. The system is composed of a cable stretched out across the runway attached to a braking system that brings fighter aircraft to a smooth halt during emergency landings.
