Balad Airmen teach contractors lifesaving skills

Tech. Sgt. Christopher McArdle leads a training session on using hydraulic Jaws of Life-type power tools March 5 at Balad Air Base, Iraq. The class, a first for the Balad AB fire department, marked an important step for U.S. government contractors working for KBR Theater Transportation Mission Recovery to train jointly with the Air Force. The TTM Recovery personnel are responsible for retrieving stuck, broken down and destroyed military vehicles throughout Iraq. Sergeant McArdle is a 332nd Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron Fire Department firefighter. (U.S. Air Force photo/Master Sgt. Heather Cabral)
