NFL players kick off USO tour in Kyrgyzstan
Sports Illustrated writer Peter King signs autographs for Airmen March 4 at the recreation center on Manas Air Base, Kyrgyzstan. Mr. King traveled to Kyrgyzstan as part of the United Service Organizations National Football League tour that brought San Diego Chargers Luis Castillo, Chicago Bears Tommie Harris, and Carolina Panthers Mike Rucker to see military members supporting operations in Afghanistan. The visitors spent the day visiting Airmen at their work centers to see firsthand how members of the 376th Air Expeditionary Wing support the war on terrorism. They participated in a question and answer session with the Airmen, Soldiers and Marines transiting the base, hanging around afterward to sign autographs for sports enthusiasts.
