Super Galaxy endures super cold weather

A C-5M Super Galaxy drives through the deep snow on the flightline while conducting cold weather testing Dec. 12 at Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska. This is the first C-5M with new CF-6 engines, pylons and auxiliary power units, with upgrades to the aircraft's skin and frame, flight controls, landing gear and the pressurization system that went through cold-weather testing. The aircraft sat for more than 24 hours in temperatures low as minus 25 degrees. (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Airman Jonathan Snyder)
