Intermediate repair facility keeps tankers flying
Sgt. Christopher Crespo measures the thickness of a new brake puck on a KC-135 Stratotanker brake Feb. 26 at the only in-theater central intermediate repair facility in Southwest Asia. The CIRF makes it possible for the brakes on KC-135s to be repaired immediately, saving time and money that would be spent shipping the parts to and from the United States.
