National Guard celebrates 372nd birthday
Maj. Gen. Emmett R. Titshaw Jr., Gen. Craig R. McKinley, Army Lt. Gen. Clyde A. Vaughn, retired Brig. Gen. Stephen M. Koper, Army Maj. Gen. Francis D. Vavala, Army Command Sgt. Maj. David Hudson and retired Army Sgt. Major Frank Yoakum cut a cake to celebrate the 372nd birthday of the National Guard Dec. 10 at the Rayburn House Office Building in Washington, D.C. General Titshaw is the acting director of the Air National Guard. General McKinley is the chief of the National Guard Bureau. General Vaughn is the director of the Army National Guard. General Koper is the president of the National Guard Association of the United States. General Vavala is the Delaware adjutant general and president of the Adjutants General Association of the United States. Command Sgt. Maj. Hudson is the senior enlisted adviser to the NGB chief; and Sgt. Maj. Yoakum is the legislative director of the Enlisted Association of the National Guard of the United States.
