Airmen combat explosive threats in Afghanistan
Senior Airman Emily Walker pilots a Talon explosive ordnance disposal robot from inside a mine-resistant, ambush-protected vehicle Oct. 26 at Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan. Integrated cameras allow Airman Walker to see objects around the robot, helping her to safely handle most incidents without ever having to leave the MRAP. Airman Walker is assigned to the 755th Air Expeditionary Group Explosive Ordnance Disposal Operation Location-Bravo and deployed from Ramstein Air Base, Germany. She hails from Brownsville, Calif. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. Samuel Morse)
