Feeding the Thunderbolt II
30mm high-explosive incendiary rounds feed through a GFU-7 "Dragon" during processing Dec. 2 at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan. Members of the 455th Expeditionary Maintenance Squadron Ammo Flight use the GFU-7 to inspect rounds that form the backbone of the A-10 Thunderbolt II's armament and ready them for seamless loading into the aircraft.
