We didn't start the fire
Staff Sgt. Steven Wade, Staff Sgt. Kristopher Doughty, and Army Staff Sgt. Joshua Nordstrom use a piercing nozzle to extinguish flames during a live-fire training exercise Oct. 22 at Joint Base Balad, Iraq. The nozzle allows firefighters to work from outside the structure. All three servicemembers are assigned to the Joint Base Balad Fire Department, which conducted training to give firefighters experience using hose patterns on interior fires.
