Willow Grove unit completes last A-10 deployment
A crew chief with the 455th Expeditionary Aircraft Maintenance Squadron removes the final tags on an A-10 Thunderbolt II just prior to a close-air-support mission at Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan, Sept. 12. Aircrew and maintainers from the 111th Fighter Wing, an Air National Guard unit from Pennsylvania, are preparing to head home after what could be their last combat deployment with the A-10. The 111th FW is scheduled to lose the A-10 beginning in the spring of 2009. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. Rachel Martinez)
