Reservists oversee Dover C-5 Avionics Modernization Program

Tech. Sgt. Eric Staniland observes the C-5 Galaxy elevator, which controls the up and down movement of the aircraft, as part of a preflight check. The C-5 Galaxy from Westover Air Reserve Base, Mass., received a modernized glass cockpit and avionics upgrade through the Avionics Modernization Program. Airmen from Dover Air Force Base, Del., and Travis AFB, Calif., are overseeing the AMP modifications of all the Air Force Reserve Command C-5s and will manage the rest of the C-5 fleet's conversion through 2015. Sergeant Staniland is a 709th Airlift Squadron flight engineer and a member of the 512th Acceptance Check Flight. (U.S. Air Force photo/Capt. Marnee A.C. Losurdo)
