Servicemembers introduce water sanitation to Afghan village
A Shajoy village elder sips purified water after Zabul Provincial Reconstruction Team medics introduced a new water sanitation process July 31 in the Shajoy District of Afghanistan. The team chose Shajoy to test run the process, which (after initial costs) creates clean drinking water for 300 families or approximately 5,000 people at just $5 per month.
