Humvee Modification
Tech. Sgt. Paul Gardner displays the original mounting hardware, left, and the new parts he used to modify an air-conditioning fan and condenser in a Humvee July 21 at a base in Southwest Asia. Sergeant Gardner is credited with the idea of modifying the unit because the Humvees were being brought in continuously for air-conditioning maintenance. He created a specially made L-shaped bracket for the assembly and replaced smaller mounting nut and bolt hardware with larger sizes.
