Americans, Australians go out with a bang

Senior Airman Charles Howell lays down plastic explosive over munitions in preparation for a controlled detonation with coalition forces June 20 at an explosive ordnance disposal range in Southwest Asia. The joint detonation also provided an opportunity for the U.S. and coalition forces to enhance their relations while learning some of the slight differences in operating procedures. Airman Howell is assigned to the 386th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron Explosive Ordnance Disposal Flight. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. Patrick Dixon)
