Bright is the great grandmother of McCormick, a paralegal with the 116th Air Control Wing, Georgia Air National Guard. Bright was a first cousin with the great civil rights hero Harriet Ross Tubman, the African-American abolitionist and humanitarian responsible for the rescue of more than 300 slaves through the underground railroad.
