Kevin Gooder, chief, Program Integration Division, Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for science, technology and engineering, testifies in front of the Senate Armed Services Committee subcommittee on emerging threats and capabilities, April 8. The hearing was based upon the roles of the Department of Defense Science and Technology Enterprise for innovation and affordability, working with the fiscal year 15 budget request. According to Gooder, the Air Force needs to learn from the past and focusing on the future, while addressing the highest priority needs of the Air Force across the near-, mid- and far-term.
