The Air Force Dismount Detection Radar pod is strapped to the underbelly of an experimental aircraft called the Proteus April 22, 2014, at Mojave Airport Civilian Flight Test Center in California. The system underwent its first test flight. A Life Cycle Management Center team based out of Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass., is the driving force responsible for the development and testing of the radar. (U.S. Air Force photo/1st Lt.
