Firefighters from the 507th Civil Engineer Squadron trade the U.S. flag and an axe during the 5th annual fire climb Sept. 7, 2014, at the fire training tower at Tinker Air Force Base, Okla. The axe and flag were pieces of several packs carried up and down the tower stairs as members of the CES and the wing climbed the equivalent of 110 stories to commemorate the 343 firefighters, emergency medical technicians and paramedics who lost their lives during the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Centers.
