A C-130 Hercules flies over Saylor Creek Bombing Range spraying herbicide to control the cheat grass in the area Sept. 17, 2014, at Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho. Cheat grass has become a hazard in the area by destroying the native vegetation and increasing the likelihood of fires spreading rapidly. The 910th Airlift Wing, based at Youngstown Air Reserve Station, Ohio, is home to the Defense Department’s only large-area, fixed-wing aerial spray capability.
