Polish, US air forces unite for Av-Det rotation
A C-130 Hercules taxi on the flightline Oct. 20, 2014, during U.S. Air Force Aviation Detachment rotation 15-1, at Powidz Air Base, Poland. The C-130s are assigned to Illinois Air National Guard’s 182nd Airlift Wing. The guardsmen’s night mission performed on-station training to test their capability to perform missions in low-light sorties. The U.S. Air Force’s forward presence in Europe allows allies and partners to develop and improve ready air forces capable of maintaining regional security. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt.
