Capt. Dana M. Lyon, widow of Capt. David I. Lyon, dons a hat given to her by the crew of the Motor Vessel Capt. David I. Lyon during a christening and ship visit, Aug. 11, 2014, at Military Ocean Terminal Sunny Point in Southport, N.C. The MV Capt. David I. Lyon is an Air Force prepositioning vessel named in honor of Capt. David I. Lyon, an Air Force logistics readiness officer and 2008 U.S. Air Force Academy graduate who was killed in action Dec. 27, 2013, in Afghanistan.
