Planes over water

Tech. Sgt. Donnie McCorkle watches a C-17Globemaster III land, Feb. 12, 2015, at Altus Air Force Base, Okla. McCorkle is a C-17 loadmaster and was preparing for a combat off-load, where cargo is pushed out of the cargo door while the aircraft is taxiing. This demonstration was a part of a familiarization flight to help air traffic controllers understand what aircrews do and how important it is to maintain communication between the aircraft and control tower.
