The 435th CTS falls under the 435th Contingency Response Group at Ramstein Air Base, Germany. The group provides a cross-functional, rapidly deployable airborne force designed to assess and open air bases and perform initial airfield operations enabling rapid standup of combat operations anywhere in the U.S. European Command and U.S. Africa Command’s area of responsibilities.
