Luxembourg, US uphold Memorial Day significance

Members of the Luxembourg Army Color Guard, U.S. Air Force and U.S. Army salute during a Memorial Day ceremony at the Luxembourg American Cemetery and Memorial in Luxembourg, May 28, 2016. The holiday served as an opportunity to pause and remember the sacrifices of more than 1 million Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines and Coast Guardsmen who gave their lives in defense of freedom. The Airmen were from the 52nd Fighter Wing at Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany, and the U.S. Army Soldiers were from the 18th Military Police Brigade, Grafenwoehr, Germany.
