Retired AF general becomes head of women’s defense advisory committee
While active duty, Gen. Janet C. Wolfenbarger served as commander of Air Force Materiel Command at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. Wolfenbarger became the first woman to achieve four-star general rank in the Air Force. She retired from military service in 2015 and has been named as the new chairperson of the Defense Advisory Committee on Women in the Services. (U.S. Air Force photo)
