The fiery sword at the center of the Nomad Memorial burns bright through the foggy morning Feb. 18, 2011, at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. The memorial was constructed to honor the hundreds of wounded personnel and 19 Airmen who lost their lives during the Khobar Towers bombing on June 25, 1996. (U.S. Air Force photo/Samuel King Jr.)
