Airmen depart for Combat Hammer
Lt. Col. Edward Balzer, 75th Fighter Squadron assistant director of operations, performs a preflight systems check on an A-10C Thunderbolt II, Oct. 31, 2017, at Moody Air Force Base, Ga. Pilots traveled to Eglin AFB, Fla., to participate in Exercise Combat Hammer. The exercise evaluates the effectiveness, maintainability, suitability and accuracy of precision guided munitions and high technology air to ground munitions from tactical deliveries against realistic targets with realistic enemy defenses.
