Air Force gathers innovators for Tyndall rebuild
Col. Jefferson Hawkins, Tyndall Air Force Base 325th Fighter Wing vice commander, leads a discussion during a recent workshop at the AFWERX facility in Las Vegas, June 25-26. With over 50 attendees participating, the workshop was a way to assist with finding innovative solutions to move Tyndall AFB, Fla., forward as they rebuild as the 21st Century installation of the future. The two-day workshop allowed Air Force and industry to connect with innovators to help understand smart technologies and acquisition, communications, resiliency and cybersecurity to accelerate the rebuild.
