Two F-22 Raptors
Two F-22 Raptors from the 3rd Wing, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, fly as a part of a larger formation representing all the fighter aircraft stationed in Alaska, in addition to a KC-135R Stratotanker from the 168th Wing, Alaska Air National Guard, Eielson Air Force Base, that keeps these aircraft fueled and in the fight, April 21, 2020. The F-35As at Eielson AFB, partnered with the F-22 Raptors stationed at JBER, will make Alaska the most concentrated state for combat-coded fifth-generation fighter aircraft when the full complement of 54 F-35As arrive by the end of 2021.
