Burning oil

Airmen assigned to the 911th Maintenance Group conduct an engine depreservation run on a C-17 Globemaster III at the Pittsburgh International Airport Air Reserve Station, Pa., Jan. 21, 2022. The run was conducted to burn off excess oil that was used to help preserve the aircraft engines due to spending an extended period of time inside the hangar while receiving an aircraft wash, refurbishment and fuel-cell maintenance.
