Engine placement
Staff Sgt. Christopher Hurd, an F-35A Lightning II maintenance instructor assigned to the 388th Logistics Support Squadron, helps guide an F135 engine into an F-35 at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, Feb. 15, 2024. With the new trainer jet in place, the Field Training Detachment and the Logistics Support Squadron can more efficiently ensure that maintainers get the training they need without borrowing aircraft from the flightline.
