Compatibility testing
A KC-46A Pegasus conducts tanker-receiver aerial refueling compatibility testing with an E-2D Advanced Hawkeye from the U.S. Navy’s Air Test and Evaluation Squadron (VX) 20 over Patuxent River, Md., May 15, 2024. Certifying the tanker-receiver pair will sustain the E-2D aerial refueling capability as the Air Force modernizes its tanker fleet, ultimately extending the airborne early warning, battle management, and integrated air and missile defense missions through significantly increased persistence and range.
