Planes over water

AIR FORCE PHOTOS

Airmen and members from the Hawaii National Guard, along with Hawaiian Electric (HECO), and Southern California Edison, unload a second C-17 Globemaster III loaded with vehicles and supplies, Aug. 25, 2026, to assist Hawaii County with restoring power to those affected by Hurricane Lala. Pacific Air Forces, along with the Guard, coordinated the efforts dubbed "Operation TREK808," by Hawaii Governor Josh Green. The two C-17s were used to transport trucks and work crews to bolster HECO efforts and help with longer term fixes. (U.S. Air Force photo by Andrew Jackson)
