  • For third time, Hill AFB fighter wings deploy F-35As to Middle East

    The 388th and 419th Fighter Wings at Hill Air Force Base deployed F-35A Lighting IIs to Al Dhafra Air Base, United Arab Emirates, to support the United States Air Force Central Command mission in the region.

    The F-15E Strike Eagles are based out of Al Dhafra Air Base, United Arab Emirates, while the USS Gonzalez (DDG 66) is assigned to Commander Task Force-55 and the P-3C Orion is assigned to the CTF-57 based out of Bahrain.
  • Mountain Home AFB hosts largest off-station F-35A operation to date

    The squadron, normally stationed at Hill AFB, Utah, is functioning as a detachment with about 300 Airmen in operations, support and maintenance.     The 1st Expeditionary Civil Engineer Group provides theater-wide engineering technical services, light and heavy troop labor construction and repairs within the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility in order to engineer combat power and establish and sustain combat platforms for USCENTCOM and other joint forces.

    Airmen assigned to the 380th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron Explosive Ordnance Disposal flight hosted the EOD 134 Memorial Workout, Nov. 30.
  • 380th EMDG: Providing care to the fight

    The 380th Air Expeditionary Wing consists of four groups executing the warfighting mission. One of these groups, the 380th Expeditionary Medical Group, provides various medical care and services supporting more than 3,500 deployed personnel at Al Dhafra Air Base, United Arab Emirates.
