  • OTS revamps program creating more efficient, effective training environment

    Over the past year, Air University’s Officer Training School has been revamping its program in order to provide a more efficient and effective training experience for its cadets. One of the major changes the school has made has been the implementation of pre-requisite courses designed to cover topics, which otherwise would be done during a mass-lecture when the cadets arrive.

The award honors military members and Defense Department civilian employees who have supported military missions or overseas contingency operations, or whose attributes best epitomize the qualities and core values of their service branch or other DOD component.
  • Mentorship program refines medical techniques, fosters Misawa community relationships

    The Indo-Asia-Pacific region is infamous for earthquakes, typhoons and tsunamis; military medical facilities and personnel must stay ready for anything. To guarantee medical personnel are prepared, senior leaders from around the Air Force were sponsored by the Air Force Medical Operations Agency, Air Force Surgeon General, to initiate the Small Hospital Clinic Skills Enhancement program at bases with constantly rotating personnel.
