786th CES Airmen test readiness with NATO partners
The 786th Civil Engineer Squadron boosted its readiness with military personnel from NATO partners including Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, at an annual conference on Ramstein Air Base.

Goldfein’s 10-day trip across northern Europe focuses on partners and ‘great power’ realities
But there also was an unmistakable subtext connecting the stops in Estonia, Finland, Great Britain, Germany and Greenland. The thread was this: each country has valuable experience and insights for operating effectively in an age of great power competition. That reality can help the United States and its allies fine-tune strategies for deterring – and if necessary, defeating – Russia and China.
Gen. Goldfein strengthens partnerships, gains valuable insights during visits to Estonia, Finland
Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. David L. Goldfein had a three-day visit to the two Northern European nations. It offered Goldfein and other senior U.S. leaders valuable opportunities to learn from Estonia about cyber operations and from Finland about its approach to expeditionary operations and agile basing, training and homeland defense.
Multinational Heavy Airlift Wing celebrates 10th anniversary
The SAC program is an initial 30-year commitment and consists of NATO members Hungary, Bulgaria, Estonia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Slovenia and the U.S. and Partnership for Peace nations Finland and Sweden.

U.S., NATO wrap up Saber Strike 17
Saber Strike 17, a month-long exercise including 11,000 U.S. and NATO military members from 20 countries, wraps up June 24.The exercise took place in various regions in the Baltics and Poland beginning May 28.

Two F-35A Lightning II aircraft and about 20 supporting Airmen arrived at Ämari Air Base April 25, 2017, from Royal Air Force Lakenheath, England. The F-35As are participating in their first training deployment to Europe. The aircraft and total force Airmen are from the 34th Fighter Squadron and the Air Force Reserve’s 466th Fighter Squadron at Hill Air Force Base, Utah.
USAFE, ANG squadrons strengthen teams in Estonia
U.S. Air Force and allied partners completed a multilateral flying training deployment in Estonia Sept. 2. The event served to enhance unit readiness and interoperability.

More than 200 NATO service members gathered June 21 at Tapa Training Base, Estonia, to close out Saber Strike 16, a multinational theater security cooperation exercise.
