    The NCO Bilateral Exchange program consists of U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army and Japan Self-Defense Force members coming together to learn and grow.     Tech. Sgt. Ian Messer and Tech. Sgt. Edgar Ayala, both 366th Maintenance Squadron aerospace propulsion craftsmen at Mountain Home Air Force Base, recently spent a month-long temporary duty at Cerro Moreno Air Base in Antofagasta, Chile. Their mission was to train the Chilean airmen to save money, time and manpower through hands-on training on jet engine fan blade repairs for the F100-Pratt and Whitney-W-220 jet engines.

  • AFCENT band builds relationships with a universal language

    The U.S. Air Forces Central Command band is the only deployed band in the Air Force, covering 17 of the 20 countries in the area of responsibility. Some places are so remote that the locals have never experienced live music. Capt. Dustin Doyle, AFCENT band officer in charge, is the orchestrator for this one-of-a-kind band. His duty: promote and educate the band’s mission and coordinate with local officials and embassies to find venues for the band to perform.

    Air University’s Air War College opened its doors to more than 100 community leaders, representing 39 different states, from May 8-10, 2018, to help solidify bridges and relationships between the military and the civilian sectors through the annual National Security Forum, hosted and sponsored by Secretary of the Air Force Heather Wilson, at Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama.
