    Recently, AFSAC worked with a key international partner nation to clear more than a dozen Not Mission Capable Supply cases which inhibited the foreign partner’s aircraft from performing identified missions. When an NMCS code appears for a country’s weapon system, the weapon system is not capable of performing its assigned missions due to lack of critical parts.

  • Operation Allies Refuge: Ramstein AB transforms into major evac hub

    Following the rapid deterioration of security in Afghanistan, the first of many aircraft carrying U.S. citizens, Special Immigrant Visa applicants and other vulnerable Afghans landed at the installation Aug. 20 as part of Operation Allies Refuge. Since then, Ramstein AB has received more than 11,000 evacuees as they await transportation to their final destination. More than 2,500 people have already departed Ramstein AB for the United States.
  • Mansfield-Lahm ANG Base named preferred location for Cyber Warfare Wing

    The Department of the Air Force announced today that it has identified Ohio’s Mansfield-Lahm Air National Guard Base as the preferred location for a new Cyber Warfare Wing mission. The transformation will support Air Combat Command’s future requirements and result in operational mission changes, including an increase of approximately 175 Airmen and associated infrastructure support.
