To accelerate Air Force aircrew diversity efforts and safely meet accession demands during the ongoing study, critical flying CEA carrier fields and applicable aircraft were surveyed at the request of Air Education and Training Command leadership. Early Exposure to Aviation
As part of the Air Force's efforts to provide early exposure to aviation to raise awareness of potential opportunities to serve among diverse youth, the Air Force Recruiting Service and AFRS Det.1 active-duty Aviation Inspiration Mentors facilitate programs like Pathway to Wings and Aim High Flight Academies. Additional programs are run through Air University's Headquarters Reserve Officer Training Corps and Junior ROTC programs, including scholarships and a flight academy. Air Force Recruiting Service Det. 1
AFRS’ Detachment 1 was activated in October 2018 and develops innovative programs in support of the service’s Total Force (active-duty, Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve) recruiting efforts. Members of the detachment focus on pre-accession audiences (youths, young adults and their influencers) and work with partners to provide pathways to accession sources like The U.S. Air Force Academy, ROTC and Officer Training School. ADLS training courses transition to “myLearning” as first step in force development learning management system
As part of Air Education and Training Command’s efforts to aggressively and cost-effectively modernize education and training, Airmen and Guardians can access the “myLearning” digital platform on the Air Force Portal beginning March 18, 2021. Shown is the antechamber entrance of a Negatively Pressurized Conex, or NPC. The antechamber separates the cargo area of the aircraft from the area containing the infected patients. NPC
Shown is the antechamber and patient area of a Negatively Pressurized Conex, or NPC. The NPC is divided into two sections. The patient compartment is for the COVID-19 patients, both ambulatory, seated, and those on litters, including patients requiring ventilators and the aeromedical personnel. The anteroom separates the cargo area of the aircraft from the area containing the infected patients. In today’s era of Great Power Competition and ever-changing operational environments, the Department of the Air Force has moved toward developing Airmen with foundational competencies that help enable them to out-think and out-perform adversaries. The Air Force has formally added “Digital Literacy” and “Fosters Inclusion” as Air Force foundational competencies, and both have been incorporated into the ‘Pathfinder 2021’ self-assessment tool in MyVector that allows Airmen to assess themselves and review resources to further their personal and professional development.
