Congratulations to the 4,649 Airmen selected for master sergeant in the 20E7 promotion cycle! The list is available on the Enlisted Promotions page of Air Force’s Personnel Center public website, myPers and the Air Force Portal. API Innovation Challenge
In partnership with AFWERX, Air Force Operational Energy has launched an Airmen Powered by Innovation Challenge to solicit ideas on how to optimize aviation fuel for the Air Force, enabling greater combat capability, range, and more efficient operations. The challenge is open to Airmen of all ranks and occupations and is accepting submissions on a rolling basis.

C-17 Datathon
The Department of the Air Force (DAF) Chief Data Office (SAF/CO) unveiled plans to host a series of Datathons—events aimed at solving critical DAF challenges by using data. For the first Datathon, SAF/CO is teaming with AFWERX and the USAF-Massachusetts Institute of Technology Artificial Intelligence Accelerator to focus on C-17 aircrew scheduling optimization. The event will be held virtually from July 14-16.

The event aims to brief Academia and Industry on the overall Digital Campaign Strategy to prepare them for the future of how the Air Force expects to conduct business and to request feedback and gather comments regarding the government’s strategy.

The “Air Force Be Ready” app features a main menu that includes: emergency phone numbers, websites, a storm preparation checklist, potential storm threats, a customizable family plan and basic preparation suggestions.
