MANAS AIR BASE, Kyrgyzstan -- Senior Airman Nicholas Newsome rests between snow-shoveling sessions on the flightline here. Because of quickly accumulating snowfall, Airmen took shovels to clear the runways. The base received five inches of snow in two days.
