  • Bullard pins on first star, takes command of OSI

    Brig. Gen. Terry L. Bullard became the 19th commander of AFOSI during a change of command ceremony at the Fort Belvoir, Virginia, Officer’s Club, May 16. He accepted the reins of responsibility and leadership for the Air Force’s federal law enforcement, criminal investigations and counterintelligence enforcement agency from Col. Kirk B. Stabler, the 18th AFOSI commander.

  • JBLE Airman helps save drowning girl

    A child was drowning at Fort Monroe Beach, Virginia, May 13, 2018. When medical services arrived, they found a young girl who had been rescued from the water and was safe in her mother’s arms. The nine year old had gone swimming, when the current took her into deeper waters where she could no longer stand and was getting closer to the rocks.
  • AF recovers data after Automated Case Tracking System outage

    After aggressively leveraging all vendor and department capabilities, the Air Force made a full recovery of the Automated Case Tracking System database, the Air Force inspector general system of record for all records related to IG complaints, investigations and appeals.

    Master Sgt. Phil Ryan received the call early in his shift. It concerned a young man who was sleeping in a car in a grocery store parking lot. The man's mother and girlfriend were concerned for his safety. They feared due to his prior drug abuse and his state of mind, the young man was in danger of hurting himself or someone else.

    In what officials call a successful first-of-its-kind event, Air Mobility Command inspectors launched the command's implementation of the new Air Force Inspection System at Little Rock AFB, Ark., the last week of September.
