Air Force updates travel screening process for EFMP families
Members selected for an assignment will automatically receive an email with a link to MyVector to begin the screening process. Medical clearance is required for all Exceptional Family Member Program families preparing to PCS, and for those members selected for an overseas assignment.
Patriot Express travel at BWI, SEATAC to require on-site, rapid COVID-19 testing
To mitigate the spread of COVID-19 and to meet long-standing commitments to U.S. allies and partners, the Department of Defense began rapid, on-site COVID-19 testing for passengers departing Baltimore Washington International Airport and Seattle Tacoma Airport aboard Patriot Express flights for official duty at overseas locations.
Vice Chief of Space Operations tests positive for COVID-19
Space Force Gen. David D. Thompson, Vice Chief of Space Operations, tested positive Oct. 28 for COVID-19. He took the test after learning that a close family member, with whom he had contact, tested positive for the virus.
Travis AFB hosts clinical research for NASA’s newly developed medical technology
The E-Nose Breathanalyzer, under development at NASA’s Ames Research Center in Silicon Valley, will have the capability of analyzing compounds found within a person’s breath to diagnose a battery of illnesses and abnormalities including respiratory illnesses, infectious diseases and cardiovascular conditions.

The Department of the Air Force signed an agreement April 17 with Curative, Inc., to deploy and scale an oral fluid coronavirus test, which recently received an FDA emergency use authorization, across Air Force installations.
