    Below are current coronavirus disease 2019 statistics for Department of Air Force personnel:
  • Current PCS, household goods affected by supply shortages

    According to a newly released communiqué from the Air Force’s Personal Property Activity Headquarters, “Department of Defense demand this peak (PCS) season has greatly exceeded commercial industry capabilities, largely due to resource constraints associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. Per industry, this resulted in a 25% decrease in their labor pool, resulting in (decreased) personal property movement capacity necessary to support private sector and government demand.”
  • Cadet graduation returns to Falcon Stadium for Class of 2021

    In all, 1,019 cadets graduated in front of a select crowd in the stands containing no more than eight of their family members and friends, a safety and health precaution set in place for the ceremony as the Academy continues to operate during the pandemic within Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Defense Department guidelines.
  • First AF’s 64th AEG Airmen support COVID-19 response in 30 states

    Airmen managed by First Air Force (Air Forces Northern)’s 64th Air Expeditionary Group are supporting Federal Emergency Management Agency’s vaccination operations across FEMA Regions 5-10 including 30 states, four territories and the Republic of Marshall Islands.
  • US sends medical supplies to India to help in COVID-19 fight

    As part of a whole-of-government effort to slow and eventually end the pandemic, the United States is sending medical supplies and equipment to India as that country battles the most recent COVID-19 outbreak.
  • Roth praises Air Force contributions to mass vaccination center in Florida, others nationwide

    The vaccination facility, which is designed to administer 3,000 shots a day (though it hit 5,636 shots in a single day earlier this month), is under the control of the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the state of Florida. However, a staff of 139 active duty Airmen from 25 bases across 22 states make up the operational engine providing vaccinations from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day.

  • 64th AEG provides vaccination support to FEMA in Michigan

    At the request of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, approximately 220 Department of Defense military medical and support personnel will deploy to Michigan to support a state-run, federally supported community vaccination center.

  • PT test pushed to July, updates to scoring, physical components ahead

    When assessments resume, the three-component fitness test (1.5 mile run, 1 minute of pushups and situps) will be reset with scores calculated on a new three component scoring table. In addition, work is underway to separate scoring into five-year age groups as opposed to the previous ten – for example, age groups will start at <25, 25-29 years old, 30-34, years old, etc.
