    Dover Air Force Base Airmen have a proud history of delivering help in dire situations all across the world. No matter the circumstance, these men and women can be on site in a short amount of time providing hope for those in need. The 3rd Airlift Squadron from the 436th Airlift Wing supported relief efforts for Katrina and Haiti and the squadron continues this tradition with the C-17 Globemaster III by transporting essential recovery supplies to the survivors of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.

Recognized as one of the four domains of Comprehensive Airman Fitness, the Air Force describes mental wellness as “the ability to effectively cope with unique mental stressors and challenges needed to ensure mission readiness.”
  • Unique C-5 completes major inspection

    During the past two months, a C-5M Space Cargo Modified (SCM) Super Galaxy underwent a major isochronal inspection inside an ISO dock at Dover Air Force Base, Delaware. This C-5M SCM, originally a C-5A model assigned to Travis AFB, California, was modified into a C-5C model, one of only two such models ever made.
