AFAFRICA commander reaffirms US military commitment to North Africa
Gen. Jeffrey Harrigian, U.S. Air Forces in Europe and Air Forces Africa commander, traveled to Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, Tunis, Tunisia, and Algiers, Algeria, Jan. 4-7 to meet with service members and key defense leaders in the region.

Registration open now for virtual AETC Leadership Mentoring Symposium Jan. 27-28
The two-day event is being hosted by the AETC Mentoring Council, which is composed of Airmen from around the command, and will allow senior leaders to mentor a virtual audience on specific topics.

AFRL demonstrates first collaborative weapon technologies
A team from the Air Force Test Center flew an F-16 Fighting Falcon and released two Collaborative Small Diameter Bombs, which are Small Diameter Bombs that have been modified with a collaborative autonomy payload. The CSDBs quickly established communication with each other and their seekers detected a GPS jammer.
Department of the Air Force now tracking more administrative discipline data, including demographics
A memorandum was published Dec. 21, directing Department of the Air Force commanders to track data from lesser disciplinary actions to assist in determining whether all discipline is being carried out in a fair and impartial manner.
Department of the Air Force increases commander accountability for climate survey results
The Department of the Air Force released a memorandum Dec. 21, highlighting improvements made to address concerns identified in Defense Equal Opportunity Climate Survey reports, a tool for leaders to assess command climate.
