  • CMSAF visits with 445th AW, 655th ISRW

    During her visit to the 445th Airlift Wing and 655th Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Wing, Chief Master Sgt. of the Air Force JoAnne S. Bass coined one 655th ISR Wing Airman and three 445th AW Airmen who were chosen as outstanding performers for the wing.

    The 12 Outstanding Airmen of the Year for 2021 were recognized over the course of five days during the annual Air Force Association Air, Space and Cyber conference held at National Harbor, Sept. 18-22.

  • Air Force to allow longer braids, ponytails, bangs for women

    As an outcome of the 101st Air Force uniform board, Air Force women will be able to wear their hair in up to two braids or a single ponytail with bulk not exceeding the width of the head and length not extending below a horizontal line running between the top of each sleeve inseam at the under arm

  • CMSAF recognized by Mississippi leader

    Chief Master Sgt. of the Air Force Joanne S. Bass served as the command chief master sergeant of the Second Air Force at Keesler AFB from July 2018 to Aug. 2020 – her most recent assignment before becoming CMSAF in August.

  • CSAF, CMSAF visit recently formed TF-Southeast

    Ninth Air Force stood up March 31 as TF-SE at the direction of the CSAF and Gen. Mike Holmes, commander of Air Combat Command, to provide defense support of civil authorities to Federal Emergency Management Agency Regions III & IV under U.S. Northern Command via U.S. Army North.

  • Spangdahlem AB master sergeant wins Spark Tank competition

    Master Sgt. Jonathan Maas assigned to the 52nd Fighter Wing, Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany, was named the 2019 Spark Tank winner during the Air Force’s Spark Tank competition at the Air Force Association Air Warfare Symposium Feb. 28, in Orlando.
