  • FY21 voluntary force management programs conclude May 27

    The Department of the Air Force will conclude fiscal year 2021 voluntary officer and enlisted force management programs May 27.
  • DAF to allow officers to opt out of promotion in certain circumstances

    Eligible officers, who meet certain conditions, may soon request exclusion from consideration for the next higher grade. The new policy will go into effect beginning with the major, lieutenant colonel and colonel Space Force promotion boards set to convene Oct. 16, and will provide more flexible talent management options.
  • Newest KC-46A Pegasus candidate bases announced

    A total of 12 KC-46As will replace Air Force Reserve Command KC-135 Stratotankers at one of the six candidate locations and 24 KC-46As will replace active-duty KC-135s at one of the two candidate locations.
  • New aerial gunnery simulator comes to F.E. Warren AFB

    The 37th Helicopter Squadron took possession of an aerial gunnery simulator at the helicopter hangar on F.E. Warren Air Force Base, April 27.

    The 19th Airlift Wing’s ROCKI 21-02 exercise at Volk Field Air National Guard Base came to a close May 6, as the wing assessed its ability to deploy into theater as a lead Air Expeditionary Wing–becoming Air Mobility Command’s first to experiment with the lead wing construct in a dynamic exercise environment.
