    Five representatives each from five Central American nation received basic training in safety practices, personal protection equipment, structural and wildland fires, aircraft fires, vehicle extrication and helicopter familiarization.

  • Offutt AFB runway closure delayed to maximize construction ahead of winter months

    The ten-month delay of the runway closure allows for demolition and earthwork to begin before winter. This sets up the program to be in the asphalt and concrete work phase by spring 2021 and wrapping up the needed inspections and Federal Aviation Administration approval to reopen in the twelfth month of work.

The purpose of the ISAFE, which started in 2013, is to facilitate high-level exchange of aviation safety concepts, processes and best practices to enhance proactive safety and risk management.
