Keeping them rolling
Staff Sgt. Alex Blackburn examines a refueling truck's torque converter after replacing broken bolts on the fly wheel March 8 at Balad Air Base, Iraq. The fly wheel is an integral part of the engine that starts the refueling truck. Keeping the more than 20-year-old trucks operational is a vital part of Sergeant Blackburn's work. Without the work of the mechanics such as the sergeant, aircraft, base generators and many other types of equipment would be left bone dry. Sergeant Blackburn, a 332nd Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron refueling truck mechanic, is deployed from F.E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyo.
